PIA PPP - Final RFP and PPP Agreement Issued Today

PPP PIA Interministerial Steering Committee, has invited qualified consortia to submit their final proposals based on the final Request for Proposal and terms of PPP agreement issued today.
Issuance of these documents marks the conclusion of the two phased procedure of Request for Proposal, according to articles 27 to 30 of the Law on Public Private Partnerships and Concessions. The first phase was completed in February, Conference held and part of it was the Bidders Conference.

As stated in the final documents issued, the deadline for submission of proposals is April 15th of 2010

Qualified consortia for Pristina International Airport Operations and Development, are:

Fraport IC ICTAS Havalimani Isletme A.S

Bouyges Bâtiment / Egis / Eurokoha - PAIC Consortium

Limak / de Lyon Airport Consortium

The aim of the Government of Kosovo is that through private capital investment in Pristina International Airport, amongst other things, provide modern infrastructure, improve comfort, provide world class service, gain in operations efficiency and increase transparency in airport operations and financing.

Through this concession Kosovo will, in addition to benefiting from foreign direct investment worth about 100 million euros, also gain a percentage of gross revenues, which will be deposited in the Kosovo budget each year for the 20 years of concession, allowing the government to invest in other priority projects.
